Arkad Collection by Note Design Studio

A well-established tradition of production, grown and strengthened over the years under the sign of quality and attention to detail, at the service of the most up-to-date and fresh research on design: this is the business card of Zilio A&C, which this year released at Salone del Mobile the Arkad collection.

Arkad designed by Note Design Studio is a collection of poufs, available in two different lengths and in a corner version. The designers themselves describe the concept this way:

“Arkad is the Swedish word for ‘arch’ and is inspired by aesthetics from the world of architecture. We explored different shapes that are characteristic within architecture and tried them out in smaller scales until we found a balance by repeating the arch shape. The arches have a familiar and uncomplicated silhouette, but together they create a rhythm that brings dynamics to the product. The poufs clear expression together with their petite size makes them perfect for retail, lounge and residential environments. The modules can be used separately or arranged into more significant combinations, to change expression and function to fit the space they are in.”

The fabrics that wrap the structure, made of wood and polyurethane foam, have been chosen very carefully: Febrik and Rohi quality textiles offer high elasticity and softness, as well as an excellent aesthetic result.
